EDMONTON - Even though they posted a winning record in the pre-season, something they haven’t done in a regular season since Ryan Nugent-Hopkins was eating Animal Crackers and spelling along with Grover, the Edmonton Oilers are glad it’s over.

It was fun while it lasted (OK, not really, given that it cost them Sam Gagner and Steve MacIntyre), but now it’s time to get down to serious business.

“It’s a relief to finally get in that mindset, not have to worry, ‘Am I playing tomorrow?’ that kind of thing,” said Taylor Hall, who can safely assume he’ll be in the opening night line-up against Winnipeg.
