Cory Schneider has always taken a light-hearted approach to his situation in Vancouver.

On most teams, the Vancouver Canucks goaltender would be the undisputed starter. But with the Roberto Luongo in the fray, Schneider has to share the spotlight, which he doesn't seem to mind as evident by the colourful TV news story the two did a couple of weeks ago.

"We had a blast doing it, we had a lot of fun together," said Schneider of the spot with TSN's James Duthie. "It was one of those things that we wanted to do to show everyone that we really get along well and we enjoy working with each other.

"I think people sort of blew the situtation out of proportion and made it a bigger deal than it is."

The spot made light of the competition between Luongo and Schneider as to who the No. 1 goaltender is.

Heading into the season, Schneider was named the Canucks starter as Luongo was expected to be traded.
