EDMONTON - The Edmonton Oilers will be just fine, as long as they don’t have to play any big, strong teams that make it hard for them to generate offence.

The latest opponent to barge into town and exploit a weakness that’s been dogging the undersized Oilers for seven years were the St. Louis Blues, who shut Edmonton down so badly in a 3-0 win they were booed off their own ice.

The quick and undersized Oilers tried to beat the Blues at their own game — a grind ’em out defensive struggle that a heavy team like St. Louis lives for — and the game plan failed miserably.
