Stretch drive will be the ultimate test for the Edmonton Oilers
By ROBERT TYCHKOWSKI, QMI Agency

The Oilers face the conference's top six teams 12 times in their final 19 games, including the Minnesota Wild twice. (Perry Nelson, Edmonton Sun)

\It’s not every year that the stretch drive is almost half the season, but this is no ordinary year for the NHL and the Edmonton Oilers.

First of all, the season is only 48 games long and secondly, the Oilers are still alive in late March.

It’s been years since Edmonton has still been in the mix this late in a season.

“It’s been a long time coming,” said centre Sam Gagner. “It’s a lot of fun to be in this situation. You play hockey to be in pressure situations and to test yourself and your teammates in key times.”

Would Seattle be a good city for the NHL to relocate to?
Yes, it'd be a great market.
  Maybe, who knows.
No, they should go to Quebec instead.
