EDMONTON - For some of us, the player we'll always remember most from the game Sunday night will always be Sergei Kostitsyn.

When you see something you've never seen before, something that you'll one day say “remember the time that ....”

Well, it was like that.

It was a 1-1 game half way through the third period when

Sam Gagner wheeled away from Kostitsyn for a two-on-one with Lennart Petrell.

Instead of chasing him down, Kostitsyn headed to the Nashville bench seemingly to try to get there before Gagner made the pass that Petrell put behind Pekka Rinne to give the Oilers the lead enroute to an XXXL victory over the Nashville Predators.

To avoid getting a minus on the play?

When Kostitsyn almost simultaneously reached the bench, where the coaches were screaming at him, Roman Josi jumped on for him. Victor Barley, however, got the minus.
