EDMONTON - When Taylor Hall steps on the ice tonight against the Nashville Predators, it will be the deepest he’s gone in a season on the calendar in his NHL career.
He hasn’t had a chance to be Mr. March, Mr. April or Mr. May since his junior days.
Last year, on March 16, Hall suffered a concussion and had shoulder surgery to follow.
The year before, he busted an ankle on March 3.
In the three games following the back-to-back 4-0, 6-0 look-in-the-mirror shutout losses in Detroit and Nashville, Hall has been the Oilers driving force.
Hall is now a point-per-game-plus player with 25 points in 24 games. He has produced two points in each of the last three games. He had six shots against Detroit (11 in the last three games) and was involved in seven of the Oilers 19 scoring chances.
