For Taylor Hall, it's as near a homecoming as it gets.

Having played his junior hockey across the river for the Windsor Spitfires, the Edmonton Oilers winger always has a cheering section in Detroit.

"Getting to play in front of some Windsor fans is always nice," he said. "I usually have some family that comes and supports me. It's always fun to play here, hopefully we're able to get a win."

Hall, 21, spent three seasons in Windsor, winning a pair of Memorial Cup championships and being named tournament MVP on both occasions in the process.

"Playing in Toronto and Ottawa, it's fun for me being from Ontario," said Hall. "But playing here in front of some Windsor Spitfire jerseys that I see in the crowd, it's nice. I'm going to Windsor (Wednesday night) to see some people. It's always nice to kind of get away from hockey and see some people that you haven't seen in a while."
