ST. PAUL, MINN. - The Minnesota Wild say they’re looking for points, not trouble.
But if the opportunity to get two birds with one stone should present itself, it’s hard to imagine they won’t take it.
“You let the game play out and you let your actions be dictated by the game,” Wild winger Zenon Konopka said of the first game between Edmonton and Minnesota since Taylor Hall put Cal Clutterbuck out of commision with a low hit.
“Our most important thing when we play Edmonton is to win the game in regulation. That’s Priority No. 1. Priority No. 1 is not getting Taylor Hall.”
Konopka, a healthy scratch in four of the Wild’s last six, isn’t sure if he’ll have anything to say about the direction of Sunday’s game. But told the Minneapolis Star Tribune he’s seen these situations before and they can vary from nothing to complete chaos.
