Edmonton Oiler Justin Schultz doesn't expect warm welcome
By DEREK VAN DIEST, QMI Agency
Justin Schultz doesn’t know what type of reaction he’ll get in Vancouver Sunday, nor does he seem particularly concerned by it. The rookie defenceman rubbed a lot of Vancouver Canucks fans the wrong way when passing over an opportunity to play in his home province for a spot on the Edmonton Oilers blue-line. Fittingly enough, it’s in Vancouver where Schultz will make his NHL debut. “We’ll see, it should be pretty loud in there, pretty fun,” said Schultz. “I’m just excited to get going. Right now I feel the same (as his AHL debut), (Sunday) I’ll probably be a little bit more nervous. Once game time comes, the emotions will be running high. But right now it’s fine, I’m just excited to get going.” Schultz was the Oilers biggest and most surprising off-season acquisition.
