EDMONTON - When the schedule reads 48 games in 98 days, depth is everything.
So the Edmonton Oilers make a pre-emptive strike in that department Monday, acquiring defenceman Mark Fistric from the Dallas Stars.
Edmonton gave up a third pick in the 2013 draft for the six-foot-two, 233-pound Edmonton native.
