Is that what we watched Tuesday, when Nick Schultz left the ice from the first Edmonton Oilers on-ice session at Rexall Place in 277 days and returned to the dressing room, where Justin Schultz came over and sat down beside him?

There’s every expectation the play-by-play broadcasting nightmare of Schultz & Schultz as defensive partners is the way head coach Ralph Krueger is going to go start the season Jan. 19 at home against the Calgary Flames.

Schultz & Schultz? Actually, it shouldn’t be that tough. Justin will be the one with the puck.

Nick Schultz’s comparable is Huddy, the steady stay-at-home defenceman who was primarily partnered with Coffey in the Stanley Cup years.
