Oilers' Dubnyk to play in Spengler Cup

EDMONTON - Devan Dubnyk will finally be getting some playing time.
The Edmonton Oilers goaltender is heading overseas, having been name to Canada’s Spengler Cup squad on Friday.
He'll be part of an NHL-loaded team representing the country at the annual holiday tournament in Davos, Switzerland.
“They approached me sometime in November and asked if I was interested in going,” said Dubnyk. “I told them I was open to it if the situation allowed me to go.
“I would rather be playing with the Oilers right now, but this will be a good opportunity for me to go over there and get some games in. I'm looking forward to it.”
The Canadian squad also includes Oilers forwards Ryan Smyth and Sam Gagner, who is currently playing with Klagenfuter in Austria. Former Oilers Cam Barker and Marc-Antoine Pouliot were named to the squad as well.
