EDMONTON - Ben Eager is skating with the club and while he still can’t participate in any contact drills, he’s a big step closer.

“It was nice to get out there with all the guys, be out there with just more than myself,” said Eager, who’s recovering from a concussion/whiplash issue. “I felt fine. I think within the next few days I’ll be doing all the drills. I’ll practice all week in Jasper, see the doctor before the weekend and hopefully be cleared to play. I just have to get back into game shape, but (the home opener) is definitely my goal.”
