Mom not happy about visor decision

Ethan Moreau couldn't come up with a reasonable answer.

At least not one that made much sense.

It's probably because there isn't one when it comes getting rid of the visor he'd been wearing since taking a stick in the eye.

"I don't really have an intelligent answer for that," Moreau said. "My mom was in Colorado and she wasn't very happy about it. I just feel more like myself without it."

Moreau took the visor off during the Oilers recent two-game road trip to San Jose and Colorado. He did not wear it last night when the Oilers took on the Vancouver Canucks.

"It's probably not the smartest thing, but we do a lot of dumb things," he said. "It just feels more comfortable. Maybe like everybody else, I'm just trying to grasp, looking at a way to change things."

Moreau has four goals and four assists in 47 games this season. He missed Tuesday practice with a neck injury that was aggravated in the 6-0 loss to the Colorado Avalanche on Monday.

"The neck is okay," he said prior to Wednesday's game against the Vancouver Canucks. "I got hit in Colorado then had to get right on a plane. But I got good treatment on it and I'm ready to go."
