Comrie to return to Oilers?
By ROBERT TYCHKOWSKI, SUN MEDIA

EDMONTON — How long till the Oilers place a call to Chris Pronger?

If they’re exploring the possibility of bringing Mike Comrie back, then anything is possible.

And they are in talks aimed at bringing back the second most hated former Oiler.

On Tuesday Ales Hemsky and Robert Nilsson both said they’d like to see Comrie back and two veteran players yesterday said Comrie is indeed in talks with the Oilers.

It’s remarkable, given that Comrie, at the heart of the second-most volatile break-up in franchise history, left here saying he doesn’t like playing in Edmonton, and that the Oilers already have plenty of small forwards.

But Comrie, an unrestricted free agent who had 27 points in 63 games last year, went unsigned over the summer and could be had for a bargain rate.

Comrie refused comment yesterday, saying he’d speak later in the week.

Would Patrick Roy make a good coach for the Colorado Avalanche?
  Yes, he's perfect
  No, he's not ready
  Bring him to Montreal!
