GAME NOTES

Tonight's game is the second of four between the teams this season. The Kings won the first encounter 2-1 eight days ago at Rexall Place. The Oilers split their two games in Los Angeles last season, losing 4-1 in October then beating the Kings 4-3 in a shootout in December ... Oilers defenceman Lubomir Visnovsky will be making his first appearance at the Staples Center since being traded to Edmonton for centre Jarret Stoll and defenceman Matt Greene. Visnovsky, 32, played seven seasons in Los Angeles ... Defenceman Ladislav Smid is expected to be inserted into the Oilers lineup on the blue line during the current two-game trip. He'll either be inserted tonight in Los Angeles or tomorrow in San Jose ... Ethan Moreau missed yesterday's practice with the flu, but is expected to be healthy for tonight's contest.
