Defenceman Allan Rourke will make his Oilers debut on a pretty grand stage: Hockey Night in Canada against the Flames.

"I've never played there before," said Rourke, called up from Springfield the day Bryan Young was sent down.

"Obviously it's one of the biggest rivalries in the league. I'm excited about it."

He's excited about the whole thing. An eight year pro, mostly in the minors, he appreciates every shot he gets in The Show.

"The nerves are always there," said the 27-year-old from Mississauga, who was acquired in a draft-pick swap with the Isles last summer.

"I'm always nervous before games whether I'm here or in the minors. You never want injuries (on the big club), but it's part of the game and when the time arises you have to step up. I could be here for one day or for a while - you never know. I have to take it day by day and work hard."

LANGKOW HURTING

Edmonton product Daymond Langkow is out of action for the Calgary Flames tonight due to a concussion following a hit he took from Vancouver's Matt Cooke midway through Thursday's game.

"He has a concussion and suffering the symptoms of a concussion," reported Flames head coach Mike Keenan. "I have no idea at this point how long that's going to take to resolve itself. He evaluated quite high on the scale today in terms of a setback."
