Looking for blue chips to cash in

Edmonton will get its first look at the Oilers latest crop of blue chip prospects next week when the club holds its six-day development camp at Millennium Place.

The camp, which begins Monday, features on-ice sessions under the guidance of Skating and Skills coach Steve Serdachny and off-ice work under the supervisions of Oilers strength and conditioning Coach, Chad Moreau.

Among the 13 players scheduled to attend are recently signed draft picks Andrew Cogliano, Theo Peckham and goalie Glenn Fisher.

Defenceman Sebastien Bisaillon, who made his NHL debut with the Oilers this past season, will also be in attendance as will Taylor Chorney, Edmonton's second choice, 36th overall in the 2005 Entry Draft.

Four of Edmonton's five picks from the 2006 draft will also be there.

Joining Peckham are defencemen Jeff Petry (1st choice, 2nd round, 45th overall) and Cody Wild (140th overall) and goaltender Bryan Pitton (133rd overall).

Camp opens with on-ice testing at at Millennium, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.) followed by off-ice work on Tuesday.

They return to the ice Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings (9 to 11 a.m.).
