Zack Stortini, who was recalled by the Edmonton Oilers from Hamilton of the AHL Monday but didn't dress for Tuesday's 2-1 win over Calgary, was reassigned to the Bulldogs yesterday.

"We didn't want to get caught short in the toughness department," said Craig MacTavish, who considered dressing Stortini against the Flames. "He's going back, but we wanted to acknowledge that he's playing well, so we called him up and gave him a sniff."

The move leaves the Oilers without any extra forwards and two men under the 23-man roster limit.

NO RESPECT: Despite his 11-6-1 record, 2.30 GAA and .924 SV%, Dwayne Roloson sits just fifth among Western Conference goaltenders in voting by fans for the NHL all-star game. With 27,781 votes as of 3 p.m. yesterday, Roloson was almost 23,000 votes behind Calgary's Miikka Kiprusoff (50,750) and trailed Marty Turco, Roberto Luongo and J.S. Giguere.
