The Edmonton Oilers could use some cooking and they'll get plenty of it as they open their longest stand of the season at Rexall Place against the St. Louis Blues tomorrow.

After enduring five games in seven nights on the road, the Oilers play seven straight games at home between tomorrow and Dec. 2, with the highlighted game being the return of Chris Pronger when the Anaheim Ducks come calling Nov. 28.

After St. Louis, it's Detroit (Saturday), Calgary (Tuesday), Chicago (Nov. 24), Anaheim, Colorado (Nov. 30) and Columbus (Dec. 2).

The Oilers are 6-2-0 at Rexall Place.

Ryan Smyth's points production per game matches his jersey number as his 17 points in 18 games translates to .94 . . . seven of Patrick Thoresen's eight points (2-6-8) have come at home . . . Joffrey Lupul has four points at even strength through 18 games . . . Thoresen, Marty Reasoner and Brad Winchester, Coach Craig MacTavish's fourth line, are a combined plus-12 . . . Winchester leads the Oilers at plus-6, while captain Jason Smith is minus-9.
