Edmonton Oilers coach Craig MacTavish pulled out the chalkboard at practice in Phoenix yesterday and put together three new forward line combinations.

When the puck drops tonight against the Washington Capitals, expect to see Raffi Torres with Shawn Horcoff and Patrick Thoresen, Joffrey Lupul on left wing with Petr Sykora and Ales Hemsky and Ryan Smyth with Jarret Stoll and Fernando Pisani.

The only line that remained intact yesterday was J.F. Jacques with Marty Reasoner and Brad Winchester.

"It's kind of good at times to get a little bit of change and play with some different people," Horcoff said.

"When you have depth like that, we have the luxury of being able to do it."

Stoll tweaked his back during practice yesterday and had some spasms, so if he can't play, Toby Petersen, recalled from the AHL, could step into the lineup in his place.
