When Edmonton Oilers rookie J.F. Jacques decided to change his jersey number yesterday, he weighed his options, including No. 27 and No. 89, and then wisely traded in his No. 41 for No. 22.

"No thanks. I can't fill those skates," smiled Jacques, talking about his decision not to drape himself in the No. 27 worn by Dave Semenko and most recently Georges Laraque.

As for 89, which Jacques wore for a time in junior and not so long ago was worn around here by Mike Comrie?

"Uh, no," said the big winger.
