PHOENIX -- Expect a preview of the 2006-07 edition of the Edmonton Oilers tomorrow against the Vancouver Canucks at General Motors Place.
While Craig MacTavish had some youngsters in the lineup against Phoenix last night, he'll be icing his team, or very close to it, against the Canucks.
Up front, expect to see Ryan Smyth playing with Shawn Horcoff and Joffrey Lupul, Raffi Torres with Petr Sykora and Ales Hemsky and Ethan Moreau with Jarret Stoll and Fernando Pisani.
The question remains the fourth line, where Marty Reasoner has the centre spot locked up. Patrick Thoresen and J.F. Jacques, who flanked Reasoner last night, look to have the inside track on the two remaining spots. If they stay together in Vancouver, that's likely the fourth line.
If that's the case, Alexei Mikhnov, Toby Petersen, Brad Winchester, Marc-Antoine Pouliot and Rob Schremp are vying for two seats in the press box.
"Regardless of the decision we make, if one of those guys or two of those guys are on the outside looking and go down to the minors and are real good early, we can bring them back," MacTavish said.
Look for defensive pairings of Daniel Tjarnqvist and Jason Smith, plus Marc-Andre-Bergeron with Matt Greene against the Canucks. The other spot, alongside Steve Staios, will be taken by Ladislav Smid, Tom Gilbert, Mathieu Roy or Jan Hejda.
