The window for the Oilers to sign 2003 draft picks Marc-Antoine Pouliot, J.F. Jacques and Troy Bodie opens tomorrow. The deadline for inking the trio is next Thursday. Draftees who don't sign qualify to re-enter the draft.

Pouliot, Jacques and Bodie, as well as all 2003 and 2004 draft picks, can negotiate deals under terms of the old CBA but will be subject to the 24% rollback in the new agreement.

In other words, while players taken in the 2005 draft will be subject to an entry-level cap of $850,000, picks from 2003 can earn a maximum of $942,000 next season, including salary and bonuses.

- Indications are the Oilers won't buy out any of the 12 players they have under contract between tomorrow and next Friday, which is the window to do so without those salaries counting against the cap.

Players bought out in this period are not eligible to re-join their team by any means - be it via waivers or trade - during the 2005-06 season.

- It's expected the Oilers will tender qualifying offers to all of their unsigned players - Eric Brewer, Ales Hemsky, Shawn Horcoff, Jussi Markkanen, Marty Reasoner, Jani Rita, Ryan Smyth, Jarret Stoll, Raffi Torres, Igor Ulanov and Mike York - between tomorrow and July 31.
