VANCOUVER -- Larry Pleau will be waiting by his phone.

The St. Louis Blues GM told the Sun this morning he's had "a few calls" for the top pick in Saturday's NHL entry draft, but nothing that has piqued his interest at this point.

If the Blues keep the pick, they're expected U.S. blueliner Erik Johnson when Pleau steps to the microphone at 6 p.m. EST.

"I've had some calls, but nothing that has interested me so far. I'm sure it's going to heat up a bit more by Saturday," said Pleau.

It's believed the Blues would like to get immediate help if they're going to trade the pick. There has been a lot of talk they might use the selection to get some much-needed goaltending help.

"I don't know about immediate help. If we get a player who is going to help us in two, three or four years that doesn't really matter. We just want to improve our team," said Pleau.
