The season is usually long over by the time the Edmonton Oilers' scouting staff congregates to compare notes for the NHL Entry Draft, but vice-president of hockey operations and chief scout Kevin Prendergast and his staff have been huddled amid the bustle of Stanley Cup week for the last couple days.
Edmonton's entire scouting staff, including Brad Davis, Lorne Davis, Chris McCarthy, Frank Musil, Bill Dandy, Kent Hawley, Dave Semenko and Bob Brown, is putting the finishing touches on its lists of ranked players before heading to the draft in Vancouver.
The Oilers, as of right now, don't have a first-round selection this year.
