A herniated disc in his back will put Detroit Red Wings captain Henrik Zetterberg on the shelf for two weeks.

General manager Ken Holland said Tuesday that the 33-year-old could miss more time.

Zetterberg has 11 goals and 30 points, averaging more than one point in his 28 games played.

Detroit will have to scrape for offense with Zetterberg and Pavel Datsyuk, who remains on the mend from a concussion and is listed as out indefinitely by Detroit.

Datsyuk had 23 points in 24 games when he was diagnosed with a concussion.

On Monday, Holland said Datsyuk wasn't close to returning and the team would mandate a "good week of practice" before putting him on the ice in game situations.
