Detroit Red Wings prospect Riley Sheahan, arrested in October while wearing a purple Teletubby costume in Grand Rapids, Mich., pleaded guilty to driving "superdrunk" on Thursday, reports MLive.com.
Sheahan, a native of St. Catharines, Ont., twice blew .30 blood-alcohol level in a breathalyzer test at the local jail, almost four times above the legal limit of .08. The "superdrunk" charge is levied for operating a vehicle at .17 or higher.
Court officials said Sheahan had to pay a $1,325 fine and agreed to complete 49 hours on a work crew, attend a victim impact class and serve 12 months of probation. Additional charges of displaying or using false ID, and driving the wrong way were dismissed.
Sheahan, who is in his first year with the AHL's Grand Rapids Griffins, was drafted by the Red Wings in 2010 with their first pick.
