Dallas Stars centre Jamie Benn has been fined $10,000 by the NHL for his cross-check to Edmonton Oilers winger Ryan Jones Thursday.

Benn received a major and a game misconduct for going after Jones after the Oiler skated into Stars goalie Kari Lehtonen during the third period of the Stars' 5-1 loss in Dallas.

As the disciplinary hearing was held over the phone, there was little chance Benn -- a first-time offender -- would have been suspended.

Would Seattle be a good city for the NHL to relocate to?
Yes, it'd be a great market.
  Maybe, who knows.
No, they should go to Quebec instead.
