OTTAWA, ON - Columbus and the Blue Jackets will host the NHL's All-Star festivities in 2013, the league announced Saturday.

The showcase, which includes the skills competition and All-Star game, will take place on the weekend of January 26-27.

"We're looking forward to bringing our All-Star celebration to Columbus," NHL commissioner Gary Bettman said. "The Blue Jackets did a great job of hosting the NHL Draft in 2007, and I have no doubt they will raise the bar even higher when they welcome our All-Star celebration next January."

The All-Star festivities have never taken place in Columbus. The Blue Jackets started competing in the NHL in 2000.

Would Seattle be a good city for the NHL to relocate to?
Yes, it'd be a great market.
  Maybe, who knows.
No, they should go to Quebec instead.
