COLUMBUS - The Columbus Blue Jackets placed forward Kristian Huselius on injured reserve on Thursday. The move is retroactive to October 23.
The ninth-year pro out of Sweden collected three goals and five points in seven games for the Jackets this season. He has not played since an October 23 contest in Chicago with a left foot injury.
To fill the spot on the roster, Columbus recalled forward Mike Blunden from Springfield of the AHL on an emergency basis.
Columbus also acquired forward Dane Byers from the New York Rangers in exchange for forward Chad Kolarik. Byers will be assigned to Springfield.
