CALGARY - Stanley Cup or Olympic gold?

Patrick Sharp said it would be an impossible choice if he had to pick just one.

“That’s tough to answer,” Sharp said. “It’s like asking who do I like better, my wife or my daughter.

“It’s two things that would be incredible accomplishments.

“I’m jealous of Seabs and Duncs and Johnny because they were able to win the Cup and the gold in the same year.”

Sharp hopes to follow in the skate strides of Chicago Blackhawks teammates Brent Seabrook, Duncan Keith and Jonathan Toews, who pulled off the rare double-double in 2010.

As always, Team Canada will have a target on its back as it attempts to defend the title, something Sharp and the Hawks will experience again this fall.

“That’s the way we like it,” he said. “Chicago is a team that has respect in both conferences, and a lot of other teams play their best against us."
