CHICAGO, Il. -- The Chicago Blackhawks announced Monday that defenseman Jordan Hendry will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury.

The 27-year-old was hurt on a hit into the end boards by Phoenix captain Shane Doan during Sunday's 4-3 shootout victory over the Coyotes.

"Jordan injured his left knee last night during a collision into the boards and has sustained an ACL tear," said head team physician Dr. Michael Terry. "He will undergo reconstructive surgery shortly and we anticipate a full recovery in approximately six months."

Hendry recorded one goal in 37 games with Chicago this season.
