CHICAGO -- Chicago Blackhawks forward Marian Hossa will miss "a couple of weeks" with an upper-body injury, head coach Joel Quenneville announced on Thursday.

Hossa sustained the injury in the second period of Wednesday's 3-1 win over the Los Angeles Kings. He skated on three shifts before leaving the bench and missing the remainder of the game.

Quenneville added that the injury will not require surgery.

The 31-year-old has scored seven goals and added four assists in 11 games to start the season.
