Chicago's Toews misses second practice

CHICAGO - Chicago Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews, still recovering after taking a thunderous hit two days ago, missed his second straight practice Friday.

Chicago coach Joel Quenneville said Toews could still play Saturday night against Nashville and the team should know more by Saturday morning.

Vancouver's Willie Mitchell was coming out of the penalty box and levelled the unsuspecting Toews in the third period Wednesday night.

Toews got up, wobbled to the bench and missed the final 14 minutes of Chicago's 3-2 loss.

Also missing practice for a second straight day was defenceman Brent Seabrook, who was also shaken up in the final period against the Canucks.

Quenneville says Cristobal Huet, the team's top goalie who has struggled at times this season, will start against the Predators.
