RALEIGH, N.C. -- Wednesday's scheduled preseason game between the Carolina Hurricanes and Florida Panthers has been canceled due to a tropical storm warning for the south Florida area.
The game will not be rescheduled.
The Hurricanes will complete their preseason schedule on Friday against Atlanta before traveling overseas to take on SKA St. Petersburg of the KHL in an exhibition game. They will head to Helsinki, Finland from there to face the Minnesota Wild in a pair of regular season contests.
Florida finishes up its preseason schedule with two games against Tampa Bay on Friday and Saturday.
