MONTREAL - If you’re a fan of the Calgary Flames and Team Canada, then it’s not all bad news.

With the NHL on the brink of breaking for the Olympics, Montreal Canadiens netminder Carey Price — the frontrunner to start for Canada in Sochi — could benefit from the confidence boost.

Unfortunately, it came courtesy of the Flames.

Price didn’t have to make any highlight-reel saves but did his part Tuesday to pitch a 27-save shutout, also snuffing out the Calgary club’s five-game winning streak as he backstopped the Habs to a 2-0 triumph at Bell Centre.
