CALGARY - Montreal, the city, arena and friendly faces, Michael Cammalleri was thrilled to be seeing again.
One aspect, though, wasn’t so enticing.
“I’m honestly not looking forward to sitting in a media scrum because it’s going to be all this stuff that I really have nothing to say about, and I’m excited to walk back into the Bell Centre,” Cammalleri said Monday before the team departed from Calgary for La Belle Province.
“But it’ll be nice to be back in a place I had so much fun.”
Finally, Cammalleri will face the Canadiens — and return to Montreal — where the suddenly red-hot Calgary Flames kick off their three-game road trip that begins Tuesday against Les Canadiens (5:30 p.m., Sportsnet West/Sportsnet 960 The Fan), against whom they’ll put their NHL five-game win streak on the line.
Finally, he’ll be back for the first time since his crazy departure midway through the 2011-12 season.
