ANAHEIM - Having their dads around didn't make the difference for the Calgary Flames in Anaheim.

The father-son trip to Southern California couldn't prevent the Flames from yet again losing to the Ducks, this time a 5-2 defeat in a U.S. Thanksgiving long weekend matinee on Friday.

The Flames losing skid in Anaheim is now at 18, a slump which started April 4, 2004.

You knew it wasn't going to be easy for the Flames thanks to an injury bug that's now taken out two of their best defencemen in Mark Giordano and Dennis Wideman, their Calder Trophy candidate in rookie Sean Monahan and one of only two proven veteran scorers in Curtis Glencross.
