CALGARY - Home or away, Reto Berra is living in a hotel.

The Calgary Flames rookie goaltender joined the NHL club at the start of the just-completed four-game road trip.

But while most of his teammates returned to their homes for this three-game homestand, Berra checked into yet another hotel.

And the Swiss puckstopper insists he’s just fine with his temporary lodging.

“It’s strange, but for me, it’s my first season,” Berra said. “It’s not that bad.

“They are always really nice hotels, so I don’t have a problem with that.”

Berra’s not alone. Newcomer Ladislav Smid and a few other recent call-ups are booked into the same hotel.

“I’m not alone, so we go for dinner or something,” Berra said. “No problem.”

On the plus side, there are no chores to be done — no dishes to be done, no garbage to be taken out … You don’t even have to make your own bed.

But living out of a suitcase isn’t easy.
