ST. LOUIS - The next guy offered a letter by the Calgary Flames might want to say, 'Thanks, but no thanks.'

It's been as much a curse as a compliment.

Alternate captain Curtis Glencross returned to Calgary after suffering a lower-body injury in Tuesday's 5-1 loss to the Minnesota Wild and although the severity is still unknown, he's obviously a no-go for Thursday's battle with the St. Louis Blues at Scottrade Center (6 p.m., Sportsnet Calgary, Sportsnet Fan 960).

With the gritty left-winger now on the shelf, all five Flames who have served in official leadership roles at some point this season have already been sidelined.
