SAN JOSE - Make no mistake, TJ Galiardi was happy to come home in the summertime trade that brought him to the Calgary Flames.

When San Jose Sharks GM Doug Wilson told him he would be traded and Calgary was a possible destination, Galiardi was thrilled the end result was going back to the Stampede City, where he could move into the house he was having built and play before friends and family.

Still, he had a good thing going in the Silicon Valley, where players easily become enamoured with the area.

“It was awesome. I loved it,” Galiardi said. “There’s so much to do within an hour around you. It was a good place, but I’m happy to be in Calgary.”

He’ll make a return when the Flames face the high-flying Sharks Saturday night (8 p.m., CBC, Sportsnet FAN960). It’s a chance to catch up with a team which has had a never-ending stream of events already this season.
