CALGARY - Wednesday's date with the Detroit Red Wings will not be Miikka Kiprusoff's final appearance at the Saddledome.

Friday's clash with the Anaheim Ducks could be.

Amid speculation the 36-year-old puck-stopper will retire after this season, Calgary Flames head coach Bob Hartley plans to start Kiprusoff between the pipes for the final two home games of this shortened season, giving the Saddledome supporters an opportunity to say goodbye to No. 34.

You know, just in case he doesn't come back.
