CALGARY - After Monday’s announcement that Jay Bouwmeester was off to St. Louis to skate with the Blues, some TV-types teased Calgary Flames GM Jay Feaster for spoiling Wednesday’s NHL trade deadline drama.

The expert panel at TSN could’ve filled hours and hours of coverage with chatter about the Jarome Iginla sweepstakes.

Except that the Flames’ longtime captain and all-time leading marksman is now a member of the Pittsburgh Penguins. Has been for almost a week now.

Sportsnet’s insiders could have gone on and on about the bidding war for Bouwmeester. Except that the Blues already acquired the smooth-skating defenceman.

Having already cashed in his top two trade chips, adding two-first round picks and four prospects to his stash, what could Feaster sill have up his sleeve before Wednesday’s 1 p.m. MT deadline?

Fans are not the only ones who want to know.
