New dad Miikka Kiprusoff back in Flames net
By RANDY SPORTAK, QMI Agency

Miikka Kiprusoff of the Calgary Flames sets in goal moments before action against the Chicago Blackhawks in National Hockey League action at the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, Alta. on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013. The Flames went into the game dead last in the league. (Lyle Aspinall/QMI Agency)

Music City, U.S.A., is known for being a party town.

Oddly enough, Miikka Kiprusoff is one of the few people likely to catch more sleep a quick step — make that a quick two-step — from the honkytonks all over downtown Nashville than he would at home.

“It’s been a long time (since we had a baby in the house),” said Kiprusoff, who rejoined his team for Wednesday’s practice in Nashville. “My other son is older (Aaro is seven), so I don’t even remember how to handle a baby, but it’s coming back.”

Kiprusoff and his wife, Seidi, celebrated the birth of their second son, Oskar, Monday. He stayed home in Calgary and returned to the team in anticipation of Thursday’s clash against the Nashville Predators (6 p.m, Sportsnet West).

Kiprusoff happily reported mom and baby are fine — thankful for the care they received at the Rockyview Hospital — and now, after re-learning how to change a diaper, he’s ready for action on the ice.

Would Seattle be a good city for the NHL to relocate to?
Yes, it'd be a great market.
  Maybe, who knows.
No, they should go to Quebec instead.
