CALGARY - The perfect way to celebrate Western Night?

Put the boots to 'em.

Suddenly unstoppable in their own barn, the Calgary Flames got a hat-trick from true country boy Curtis Glencross and rolled to a sixth consecutive victory on Saddledome ice with Friday’s 6-3 triumph over the Nashville Predators, a game the home side controlled from start to finish.

With the win, the Flames (11-11-4) scratched their way back to the so-called .500 mark and have climbed out of the basement of the Western Conference standings.

In fact, they’re suddenly only three points outside of eighth spot.

That’s the good news.

The bad news is the Flames have to hit the road for three games this week, starting with Monday’s meeting against the Stars in Dallas.

The Flames, who will also visit Nashville and Columbus on their upcoming sojourn, have lost six straight away from the Stampede City, dating back to a Feb. 17 visit to the Big D.

Are you surprised Don Cherry backed Daniel Alfredsson's comments?
  Yes.
  No.
It's Don Cherry - who knows what he will say.
