Not so Duck-y: Flames shutout in Anaheim
By WES GILBERTSON, QMI Agency

The Calgary Flames lost 4-0 on the road Friday night against the Anaheim Ducks. MIKE BLAKE/REUTERS.

ANAHEIM — They stopped officially calling it The Pond in 2006.

It’s been a black hole for the Calgary Flames for even longer than that.

After Friday’s 4-0 shutout setback against the Anaheim Ducks, the Flames have now lost 16 consecutive regular-season clashes at what’s currently known as Honda Center.

It’s been 3,337 days since the crew from Calgary celebrated a Jan. 19, 2004, win in Anaheim.

And counting.

There have been two lockouts since then. Heck, there have been two leap years since then.

In Calgary’s last win in Anaheim, the game-winning goal came courtesy of Martin Gelinas, with Craig Conroy collecting four assists on the night.

Would Seattle be a good city for the NHL to relocate to?
Yes, it'd be a great market.
  Maybe, who knows.
No, they should go to Quebec instead.
