ANAHEIM — The Calgary Flames are taking a wait-and-see approach to the NHL’s realignment plan.
The proposal, which has been approved by the union for a two-year trial run, features a 16-team Eastern Conference and a 14-team Western Conference.
For some of the skaters, that doesn’t quite add up.
“I’m curious to see how it turns out,” said Flames winger Alex Tanguay. “From my personal point-of-view, the only bad thing is the 14-16. I think it’s somewhat unfair you have better odds on one side.”
