Flames last win in Anaheim? Over 9 years ago
By WES GILBERTSON, QMI Agency

ANAHEIM - The way it's being talked about, you'd think Kent Nilsson scored the decisive goal and Pat Riggin earned the victory between the pipes.

It hasn't been that long since the Calgary Flames scored a regular-season win in Anaheim.

It has been more than nine years, though, dating back to Jan. 19, 2004.

Martin Gelinas, now an assistant coach on Bob Hartley's staff, had the game-winner that night, with Craig Conroy registering four assists and Jarome Iginla scratched due to illness.

Roman Turek — remember him? — got credit for the 'W'.

The Flames will try to finally end their drought in Friday's meeting with the Anaheim Ducks at the Honda Center (8:30 p.m., Sportsnet West), their first stop on a three-game roadie that also includes back-to-back games against the Los Angeles Kings.

Do you think the officiating has been fair in the Kings-Sharks series?
  Yes
  No
No ... but the refs seem to be evening it out themselves
