Same old song and dance from Flames goalie Miikka Kiprusoff

CALGARY - You don’t just forget the lyrics to a familiar song.

Especially when you’ve been singing the same tune for as long as almost anybody can remember.

Fresh off a four-week absence due to a knee injury, Calgary Flames netminder Miikka Kiprusoff looked a lot like, well, Miikka Kiprusoff in Wednesday’s 4-1 triumph over the San Jose Sharks at the Saddledome.

Were his teammates surprised by his stellar performance? Not a bit.

Were they surprised anybody expected anything less? To be honest, yeah.

“It was the usual,” summed up Flames defenceman Jay Bouwmeester. “He’s a very good goalie, and he played very good.

“You pretty much know what you’re going to get from him every night. Nobody saw it, but skating during the lockout, he’s a guy that could miss a month and come and still be the same guy. He’s that good. So you give him a few practices and he’s not going to miss a beat.”

He didn’t.

Would Seattle be a good city for the NHL to relocate to?
Yes, it'd be a great market.
  Maybe, who knows.
No, they should go to Quebec instead.
